The Philippines has some of the highest per-capita meat consumption rates of the developing world.

Global AgriTrends conducts specialized research in various aspects of global meat trade.  Examples of previous projects include:

· Analysis of the potential for U.S. beef in the Middle Eastern region.  This project included in depth interviews and in-country analysis of the competitive characteristics of U.S. beef and also included policy aspects of expanding trade in this region.

· Livestock and meat production and trade in key S. American countries.  This project involved analysis of the current production and trade levels, analysis of key entities in these countries and forecasts for future expansion in livestock and meat production / trade.

· Global analysis of the potential for expanding exports of turkey meat.  This project included “desk reviews” of 30+ countries and expanded in-country analysis of 4 additional countries.  This research was conducted in cooperation with additional firms and individuals.

· Country specific assessments of market conditions and opportunities for expanded lamb exports to specific markets in the Middle East and Southeast Asian region.

· Market assessment of economic and market access conditions for expanding poultry exports to North Africa (Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco) including competitive analysis and domestic market conditions.
